Frontend Developer
Slide
Slide was a social entertainment company founded in 2005 by Max Levchin (PayPal co-founder) that became one of the most popular application developers on the Facebook and MySpace platforms. At its peak, Slide's applications reached over 140 million monthly active users, making it one of the largest independent app developers in the social web era.
The company built a portfolio of social widgets, games, and interactive applications that capitalized on the early Facebook Platform and MySpace ecosystem. Slide was backed by prominent venture capital firms and was acquired by Google in 2010 for a reported $228M.
I worked on building the rich internet applications, social widgets, and browser-based games that defined the early social web era, using Flash, JavaScript, and HTML to create interactive experiences deployed to millions of users across social platforms.
