Advance Digital is the digital arm of Advance Publications, operating a network of regional news and media properties across the United States including NJ.com, Cleveland.com, and AL.com. The company reaches tens of millions of monthly readers and is one of the largest local media organizations in the country.

The engineering team was modernizing the content delivery platform, moving from legacy server-rendered pages to isomorphic React/Redux applications that could be rendered on both the server and client. This approach was critical for maintaining SEO performance while delivering the interactive, app-like experiences that modern readers expect.

I worked on building these isomorphic applications from the ground up, tackling challenges around server-side rendering, state hydration, and performance optimization for a high-traffic media platform.
